Description:

The 1978 Dundee built for Argentina SD14 variant TUCUMAN was in 1992 purchased (along with sistership JUJUY II, renamed QAMAR) by Karachi based interests, trading as MUZAFFER AZIZ until arriving at Gibraltar on 20th January 2000 for around one year.

Reportedly to be renamed SAMSARA, she was eventually renamed OREOZILI, in 2001 proceeding to Piraeus where she was further renamed AZIZ for the voyage to Alang for breaking, being beached on 4th August 2001.

The photograph, taken on 15th July 1996, shows MUZAFFER AZIZ in the River Mersey approaching Langton lock, Liverpool, to load for Apapa/Lagos. This service, which may have been the very last regular conventional break bulk cargo service out of Liverpool, soon ended.
