This is like going back 40 years going back to the days when ESSEX-class carriers in their final conversion forms were familiar sights in ports around the world.
I remember when INTREPID visited Québec City in the early 1960s, one of the rare carriers to go that far inland. The last time a carrier called at a St.Lawrence River port was in June 1975 when H.M.S. HERMES (then a commando ship) visited Montréal. Those were the days...
