Description:

Strick Line's 1957 Readhead, South Shields, built KARAGHISTAN is here seen departing from Avonmouth exactly fifty years ago today, on Saturday 17th October 1970.

Later: 1973 CONSTANTINOS - 77 ADMIRAL C.

She sadly suffered steering failure during heavy weather on 13th September 1978 on a voyage from Antwerp to Jeddah, grounded and later sank.
