Description:
The Greek owned TYHI is seen berthed at Avonmouth on 17th October 1970, exactly fifty years ago today, shortly after arrival.
Built in 1952 by Short Bros. at Sunderland as Palm Line's BURUTU PALM, she became TYHI in 1967, owned by N.G.Pittas.
Early in 1973 she was sold to S.M. Maulabaksh International Trading Co of Hong Kong and renamed GLOBE STAR, but failed to complete her first voyage from Iskenderun to Karachi as she was wrecked off Mombasa on 27th April 1973.
