Launched 9 March 1918 at Lorain, Ohio, by the American SBCo. as *William P. Cowan,* hull no. 724, for the Standard Oil Company of Indiana, Whiting, Indiana, USA. 420' x 55 x 28; 5429 gt, 3962 nt; triple expansion steam engine, 25.5"-41-67 x 42, 2400-ihp, by builder.

Later *Amoco Illinois* (1962). Broken up at Windsor, Ontario, Canada, 1986-87.

Shown August 1980 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA.
