|The general cargo ship Sydgard faced a serious problem on Friday 9th. Her cargo (wood planks) shifted because of very bad weather off the coast of Brittany (west part of France). The Dutch ship left Nederland and was on its way to Rochefort (France). The captain ask for help at 7 AM. The ship had a list of 25° ! The French authorities send the Abeille Bourbon tug to assist the Sydgard. With the help of ballasts, the list was reduce to 10° and the ship was able to navigate to Brest harbour where she docked at 1.30 PM.
Last week, the Socol II faced the same problem but lost a big amount of wooden planks.
