Description:

Launched 11 February 1911 at Lorain, Ohio, USA, by the American SBCo. , hull no. 388, as *William C. Agnew* for the Buffalo SSCo., Cleveland, Ohio. 532’ x 58 x 31; 6533 gt, 4985 nt; triple expansion steam engine, 25.5”-38.25-63 x 42, 1760-ihp, by builder.

Later *George F. Rand* (1926) and *Ben W. Calvin* (1954). Converted to a self-unloader, 1936: 7510 gt, 6350 nt. Broken up at Valencia, 1974.

Shown August 1966 leaving the harbor at Ludington, Michigan, and heading into the setting sun after delivering a cargo of stone to that city’s Dow Chemical plant.
