Built December 1944 by Alabama Drydock and Shipbuilding Company, Mobile, Alabama,
as "Roque River" # 2041, for U.M.S.C.
1948 Sold private "Roque River", British Tanker Co. Ltd., London, U.K.
27-11-1959 Sold and renamed as "Hunsfoss" to A/S Gerrards Rederi II, Kristiansand, Norway, ( Mngr. Johan Gerrard).
25-11-1959 Arrived at Stenungsund, Sweden put into service as a Electrical Power Plant.
1960 Sold and renamed as "Apache", Skibs A/S Abu, Oslo-Norway, ( Mngr. Magnus Konow & Co.).
1961 Lengthened and reBuilt as a bulkcarrier, 15.781 BRT, 9.611 NRT, 24.015 DWT,
4 holts, 2 cranes each 15 ton SWL, 175,11 (166,12) x 24,03 x 14,25 x 9,899 Meter.
1962 Sold to Hvalfslsk. Blaahval A/S & Skibs A/S Abu, Oslo-Norway, (mngr. Magnus Konow & Co., Oslo).
1968 Sold and renamed as "Panmerchant", to Philippine Pacific Shipping Co., Monrovia, Panama,
(Mngr. Lasco Shipping Co., Portland, Oregon (K. Lewis)).
1977 Sold for scrap to Taiwan, arrived 26-2-1977 at Kaohsiung.
Measurements :10.644 BRT, 6.311 NRT, 16.494 DWT
159,67 x 20,79 x . x 9,201 Meter.
2 Boilers, V.O. 1.006 m2, 35 atm.
6.600 APK, dieselelektric, 2 turbines, General Electric Co., Schenectady,
coupled to a generator, 5.400 kW, 2.370 V, coupled to a electromotor, 6.000 APK, 4.476 kW.
MC-Hull number 2041, 9-9-1944 keel laid, 19-11-1944 launched, 12-12-1944 in service.

Lasco Shipping Co, Portland OR, I think (later acquired by Clipper Group in 2003).

But which ship. I haven't found any owned ships with gantry cranes, so perhaps a time-chartered ship? Name looks like two words on the stern.
