Hi Thalassa,

You are quite correct these vessels were originally built for Norasia but were then sold to ADCL but were laid up due to various dispiutes etc, vessels now sailing for either MSC or charter to Hapag lloyd.
They are interesting vessels to look at in my opinion.

sister vessels are:

Hertford
built: Jiangnan Shipyard 1999

Perth
Built: Jiangnan Shipyard 1999

MSC Asli
built: Jiangnan Shipyard 2000

MSC Lea
Built: Jiangnan Shipyard 2000

Soraya
Built: Jiangnan Shipyard 2000

Main dimensions:
Length: 217.11 m
Width: 26.66 m
Depth: 19.00 m
gross tonnage: 24836 ton
Nrt: 7450 ton
deadweight: 14150 ton
Cargo particulars:
Capacity: 1733 teu
Reefer capacity: 300 teu

Hope this assists.

Hi I am wondering if this ships was part of the ex-Norasia group, they were fast and used to shake like he..., I heard they got all laid up when the cie. went under, there was a dispute on stern tube wear with the yard...they were (6) on the St-Lawrence run for 2 years before things got ugly... the HFO cons. was just incredible for the ships that size !

Regards
Thalassa
