Description:

This old cargo ship does not immediately strike you as a scrapyard ship, but there are couple of tell-tale signs about her imminent demise: her windows appear broken, her flag is the one of Sierra Leone (while not St. Kitts and Nevis, it's still one of "end-of-life" preferred flags), and the last vessel berthed at the same spot went to the breakers.

So, I'd say a scrapyard ship - not to mention that she's only 100 meters distant from the actual breaking yard.

Hello Vlad

In the end it was a small Vessel. No wonder she was gone fast.If you could find in your archive the picture of her wheelhouse i would be happy to see it.Back in the 90's my fahter was intending to buy her unfortunatley it didnt happened .

Björn, they have cut her up really quickly; I've only managed to get some photos of the remains of her bridge before she was fully gone.

As for the preferred end of life flags, Csaba, they don't ask too many questions about the state of the vessel, completeness of her safety equipment etc., and are most likely to provide all the paperwork for the last voyage with the least amount of scrutiny...

Vlad, why are some flags "preferred" as end of life flags?
