The Turkish owned, Cambodian flag, vessel FURKAN was seen inbound passing Marina di Ravenna on 17th August 1996 with a small bulk cargo from Gulluk which subsequently developed into a major trade between the two ports.

She was built by Valmet at Aabo, Finland, in 1963 for the USSR as IZHEVSKLES and based at Archangel.

Following her sale in 1993 she took the following names:

1993: BLAZE
1995: SHAHER.M
1996: FURKAN (Arvad Denizcilik, Istanbul)
2003: KROS ISTANBUL (Kros Marine Inc, Istanbul)
2004: GNOCCHI (Kros, Istanbul)

She was beached at Aliaga for breaking on 30th September 2006 under the abbreviated name of OCCHI
