Description:
The 1976 Gijon built FOFI, operated by Kytheraiki Shipmanagement of Athens, is seen laid up at Ravenna on 17th August 1996. On 8th February 1996 a fire had broken out in her accommodation when in a position about 12 miles from Ravenna. The crew were safely evacuated and the fire was extinguished in two hours with the assistance of an Italian tug which towed her into harbour the next day. On 25th August 1997 she left Ravenna for Istanbul for repairs under the ownership of Necmi Metin Akbasoglu and was returned to service in 1998.
