This small tug was built in 1945 by the Central Bridge Company of Trenton, ON as the Peetee for the Pigeon Timber Company. In 1948 she was acquired by Great Lakes Lumber & Shipping. McNamara Construction purchased the Peetee in 1955, and eventually renamed her Bonnie J.B. She was later sold to Navigation Arcade and renamed Roxane D. Group Ocean of Quebec, QC acquired the tug in the 1990s, and she retained her name.
Roxane D. is used in the dredging and construction trades on the St. Lawrence River.
