Captain Leonidas perched atop Bajo Cotopaxi... an isolated peak surrounded by very deep water in Canal Messier, Chilean Patagonia.
Bajo Cotopaxi was named for the steamship that discovered it in 1889... PSNCo's Cotopaxi which lies close nearby....
At the time this photo was taken she had been here for 40 years and a few weeks.
