On 26th January 2008 the deep laden 1984 Tsu built container ship DIMAN II, managed by Transman of Athens, was forced to turn around and return to anchor at the Mersey Bar as the weather conditions had worsened by the time she was passing New Brighton inbound from the U.S.A. for Gladstone lock, Liverpool.
