Built on Tyneside by Vickers-Armstrongs in 1961, APOLLON was operated by Royal Olympia Cruises of Piraeus when seen arriving at Liverpool on 30th May 1998.

In 2003 APOLLON was sent to Alang for breaking, arriving there on 5th December 2003 under the abbreviated name of APOLLO.
