Description:

The Greek vessel AGHIA MARINA is seen at a lay-by berth at Liverpool exactly fifty years ago today, on 19th December 1970, on my first ever visit to Liverpool.

Owned by Cia. de Nav Golfo Azul S.A. of Syros, AGHIA MARINA was built in 1954 by Doxfords at Sunderland, was managed by Rethymnis & Kulukundis and had arrived at Liverpool on 3rd December 1970 with a cargo of sugar from Mauritius.

She briefly traded as BRAZEN EAGLE from February 1979 until arriving at Gadani Beach for breaking on 15th June 1980.
