Description:
The bulk carrier NORSE RIVER was delivered in 1970 by Uddevallavarvet (#230) to Norwegian company Odd Godager. They kept her until 1982, when she was sold to Finland and renamed EIRA. She traded as such for 8 years, after which she was sold to Panamian interests and renamed LYNMAR first and in 1991 TYNE.
In 1992 a Maltese company employed her as TINA V and in 1994 she went to the Far East, initially operating as HUA ZHU 2, and from 2004 as ZHONG HAI TONG.
The Registers gave up on her in 2012, at which time she was deleted.
As EIRA she is shown her leaving Rotterdam, mid eighties.
Interestingly, there was also a 1972 built bulker EIRA

which became ZHONG HAI TONG in 2005, so one year after this one. Hans Rosenkranz and Stefan Wiedner, confused the two ships with their photo from the that ship.
