Hi MattB, thank you for your comments. When you see the orderbooks of the South Korean shipyards, it's mostly LNG carriers... I never really researched the construction time of a large LNG tanker, but this type of ship takes the most time to build; I'd say about 18-20 months.

Great photo as always from the "birthing" yards. Have you noticed any increase in the number of new build gas tankers recently if any? I don't really know how long it takes for one to be built but where I am based we are seeing at least 2 - 3 visits a week to the gas terminals. I guess the sabotaging of that gas pipeline doesn't help things but I've never seen it so busy.
