Description:
The Oliver Goldsmith was built at Ballykeeran.Lough Ree,River Shannon around 1999.It was used as a 50 seat dinner cruiser working on Lough Ree and visiting Athlone and Hodson Bay.At 103 ftb in lenght,it was just too big for some Shannon Locks. To compensate for this, and to allow theboat use most of the River, the forward 3ft of the bow could be removed and the wheelhouse was collapsable to pass through low bridges. 1n 2003 it was converted to the hotel boat "Shannon Princess"
