Steve, Europe especially the southern nations are already burdened with lots of these illegals along with the acute problems of the Corona Virus. So why are these NGO vessels enticing these poor persons to cross over . These NGO, don't take the responsibility to clothe, provide food and shelter they just pick them up and try to unload them on to the governments of Italy, Malta, Spain and Greece.
These NGO vessels just stay offshore within sight from North African shores ,the illegals then launch the rubber dinghies knowing they will be picked up by the NGOs. Someone is making lots of money enticing refuges to cross deserts to make it to the shore of N.Afrca then selling them these inflatables. Most of these unfortunates have not even ever seen the sea being from internal Africa, yet they are encouraged to proceed on these perilous journeys.
I am very sorry for them, but they must realise that Europe is not the Utopia that they see on TV and it has its problems also.

Emmanuel L - reading a number of articles, there appears to be a lot of unofficial resistance to some of the NGO (Non Governmental) rescue/refugee organizations and ships due to where to land and keep the refugees from North Africa. Do you get the same impression?
