Description:

Small Danish coaster HANNE HANSEN is here seen at Fredrikshavn, Denmark in august 1998.
She was built 1958 at Marstal, Denmark, and had a deadweight of 298 tons.
In 1999 she was sold to Cameroun and renamed QUEEN POLINA. After 2006 her fate is a little unclear to me. Some sources say she was renamed PATIENCE this year, while other tell she was deleted in 2010 as QUEEN POLINA due to lack of recent information.

Some of such lovely coasters were converted to tall ships.

She was one in the serie of 23 socalled "Caroline"type named after the first. Originally 149 GRT 235 TDW, lengthened - as most of the serie - to around 199 GRT 298 TDW. Today only 2 left in Denmark, both without lengthening - Caroline S and Samka, both as museumships !

Thanks Denis. I have also seen this vessel with sail, which she often used while in open sea. On the photo you can see it packed (furled together) in the lower aft-part of the mast
