Thanks to everyone for the info on the STAVROS S.NARCHIOS, but we seem to have deviated from the actual photo, but some useful info has emerged on the sailing vessel now named SUNSET and reg.in Malta and Lawrence how about sharing those photos of the STAVROS when she called at Malta in the early 2000 ?
thanks and regards

Thanks to both Emmanuel L and Cpt Lawrence Dalli for the info. I knew it was a long shot, with her simply being registered in Malta. Hopefully some day we'll find out more about her in her new name and role.

Am afraid you are wrong Emmanuel as the mentioned brigantine STAVROS S NIARCHOS did call to Malta in the early 2000's of which we do have photographs in our archives........Since 2017 renaming her as SUNSET I confirm that she never came here

Hi Steve, re the STAVROS S,NIARCHOS under the Maltese flag,I could not find any photos of her and not even as the SUNSET. unfortunately she she never visited Malta,I hope she does in the future. Before the current Corona pandemic ,I heard that there could be a tallships festival in the historic grand harbour, but the cursed Corona altered all plans, maybe they will be revived in the future.
Sorry Steve, that is all the help I could provide.
regards, hope you are well in Tennessee.
Keep safe

Hi Emmanuel, hope you're doing well, staying healthy. I have a question for you unrelated to this picture. I'm trying to track down a current picture of the former Stavros S Niarchos, now renamed Sunset, under the Maltese flag. Have you seen her? Captured any pictures of her? The only thing I found was at the Marinetraffic site, some of the photos seem to have the Sunset name on their side. I'm suspicious these might just be photoshopped on. Here's an example: https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/photos/of/ships/#forward Any help or information on her status would be greatly appreciated! Steve Tompkins, Tennessee USA
