Description:

The "Tara" aground at Necochea beach, Argentina. (December 1959). After several days of hard work, the vessel could be re-floated. The following year, she was purchased by the argentine government and became the first vessel to be commissioned at the recently created ELMA (Argentine Lines) taking the name of "Presidente Castillo". (image scanned from original picture from my father´s collection)
