They do have some interesting ships come in sometimes like the RN new aircraft carriers... just my timing prevents me from seeing them. Oh well. Maybe when I retire.

I understand your work commitments Steve. I've been retired since 2001 and as a result, I was able to devote quite a bit of time to visiting locations in the US and elsewhere to do ship photography. Moreover my daughter lived in the Norfolk area for 10 years so I was able to spend time with her at least twice a year. Coming back to this particular event, I don't think the area will see anything like it for the foreseeable future.

You really missed quite a show, Steve. I think it was called Sea & Air Parade Norfolk. The warships had their parade on June 6 and the tall ships' one was held 2 days later. I photographed the warships from the tour boat VICTORY ROVER on June 6 and the tall ships from Hospital Point in Portsmouth VA.
