Name is not Maersk Bentonville, only Bentonville

I piloted this vessel away from Felixstowe on its last visit. The reason for the midships accommodation is that the vessel has the same size engine as the new G class vessels, and the midships section was the only place it fitted. The hull form is very fine as the vessel is designed for speed. During the sea trials, the captain informed me she reached 31 knots. Bentonville is the head office of Walmart in USA, so I guess this series of ships was built to carry goods for Walmart between Far East, through Panama canal to East Coast USA

Hi
Thanks for all the information, most interesting.
My late Father in Law was a Pilot back in the days of the cruising cutter! Used to Pilot ships into the Colne, and Thames and sometime Whitstable as well as Harwich Harbour.

Derek
