I caught her at Hull as Santa Barbara Pacific in March/April 1983 (date not recorded sadly) - she was wearing the funnel colours of Hamburg Sud at the time. Unfortunately my photo is only part frame so I cannot get a decent upload for SS

That's a rare photo as AFRICA PALM only had that name for a few months in 1983.
Presumably chartered out for a voyage or two - but to whom?

The builder was VEB Warnowwerft in the DDR/East Germany, long before the reunification of Germany and the remaming of the yard. She is an example of the "Ozean" standard design
