Thanks Hannes for for your explanation It makes me think, now we talk about a skeleton crew, how to get 5000 plus passengers and crewmembers disembark in an emergency. Sail to the nearest Cruise Terminal?
pieter melissen on Feb 22, 2021 07:58 (8 days ago)
and more, Hannes, the Heerema terminal is currently taken up by two of their crane ships.
Hannes van Rijn on Feb 22, 2021 04:33 (8 days ago)
There are no facilities in the Caland Canel or Maasvlakte to disembark this ship. (Gangway problems) Therefore she has to go to the Cruise Terminal.

I know that Pieter but my question was why sail to the city center Was there no place some where at the Maasvlakte ore Caland Canal
pieter melissen on Feb 21, 2021 21:55 (8 days ago)
because you cannot change the crew and bunker the ship in open sea at the same time...
albula on Feb 21, 2021 20:46 (8 days ago)
why going all the way to the cruise terminal for bunkering
Hannes van Rijn on Feb 21, 2021 19:26 (9 days ago)
You're right Brett, she hasn't sailed with paying passengers yet.

Nice photo @Hannes, correct me if I am wrong, but I do not think she has sailed with fare paying passengers since she was launched ?
