Hi Brent
Actually that morning was quite pleasant temperature wise (-7°C and no wind) which is normal for this time of year in Québec. As far as I know, there have been no delays so far caused by wintry conditions related to ship movements and there have been no ice jams at river choke points as opposed to previous years.
As for myself, I follow ship movements on the AIS and when there is a ship of interest in the area and when the light is right, I just need to dress well, hop in the car and drive to my nearby vantage point to get a crack at it. If I'm waiting for another vessel, I just need to go back to the car to catch some warmth until the next ship shows up visually.
Cheers,

Marc

Another in the classic category Marc, and I see what you mean re the "cleaner" scrubber emmissions. Though I think that while not quite environmentally friendly, her steam adds nicely to the shot as it did for the old Russian.
Looks cold on the river, am sure there is a wait time for ships to arrive does just stamping the feet get you through or are there warm facilities and a coffee cart nearby?
Cheers
Brent
