As an aside, there is an intense debate going on in Naval circles in the U.S. as to what to name the latest carrier under construction. Recent US Navy practice has been to name the carriers after living politicians, in effect, "selling" the name to those who control the purse strings to the Navy's budget.
There is a groundswell of opinion in the Navy coming from the ground up that "America" would be a most appropriate name for the new carrier, keeping with Navy tradition of reusing certain ship names.
