Wow. She was my first vessel back in 1996. Very comfortable vessel but a hell of a lot work with the derricks and twin decks. The reefer hold defunctioned that time already.

Hello. I like photos of old general cargo ships like this and also when there is a description like in this case. I am happy that you solve the problem of the type of ship. I have a Lloyds register of ship 1997-1998 and also there the type is stated as B474/2. Only one thing regarding the main engine: the engine was a Sulzer 7RD68. With that power the engine couldn't be a 7RND68 that had a power of between 10000 and 11500 bhp. In those years Sulzer was already developing and selling the type RND-M and also the first RLA type, but ships built in East Europe or for East European owners still relied on the RD type. Regards. Baldizza.

Dear WUKA54, the Hungarian Csokonai and Radnoti are based on the B445-Design but with little differences. So it is written in Lloyd´s Register, at miramar ship index and in Comecon Merchant Ships by Ambrose Greenway.
Also the Romanian Alba Iulia and Curtea de Arges are based on B445 but called B478 and without Stülcken Heavy Lift.
This B445, B474 and B478 Series include 10 ships built for Poland, 4 for Iran, 4 for India and the above named 2 ships for Hungary and 2 for Romania.

Best wishes
Frank
