Jim, I was thinking of the way the torpedoes are expelled from the tubes, after the tubes are turned to the sides, in their firing positions. The Soviet 533 mm tubes we had used small explosive charges; here I see there are large cylinders above the torpedo tubes - looks like a compressed air system to me...

Cheers

Vlad

Jim, there are no launch rails for the anti-ship missiles on this photo, only torpedo tubes. I just wwnder what they used for launching of the torpedoes, compressed air or explosive charges?

Cheers

Vlad (ex-torpedo boat crew member) :)

8 × 533 mm (21.0 in) torpedo tubes (1 × 5 and 1 × 3) for wire-guided Torpedo 61
1 or 2 launch rails for Saab Robot 08 anti-ship missiles
