Description:

Nieuwe Halcyon Lijn NV's 1962 Flensburg built bulk carrier STAD ZWOLLE is seen passing Rozenburg, inbound from Annaba for Rotterdam, on 26th May 1972.

Later: 1972 PORT ROYAL - 73 OCEAN INTREPID - 79 OCEAN - 82 OCEANIA - 84 MONTE SPINETO

In 1986, following the bankruptcy of Tecnomar S.A., a new company named Nicla Management Corporation was created by Natale Tuillier, starting with the vessels BERNARDO STROZZI, MASACCIO and SYRIA.

Nicla had then acquired the vessel OCEANIA, the former STAD ZWOLLE, which had been lying at Augusta since February 1984 after abandoning a voyage from Bedi to Belfast and Avonmouth with a cargo of oilseed. A sale and renaming as MONTE SPINETO having fallen through, she was purchased, her name shortened to OCEAN. However she remained idle and was towed to Aliaga in April 1995 for breaking.
