Federal Steam Navigation's 1948 A.Stephen, Glasgow, built HUNTINGDON is seen passing Portishead, outbound from Avonmouth at dusk exactly fifty years ago today, on 22nd July 1971.

HUNTINGDON was transferred to P&O in 1973 and, following a final sailing from Liverpool on 30th April 1975 to New Zealand, she sailed from Dunedin on 17th July 1975 bound for Hualien, Taiwan, where she arrived on 8th August 1975 for breaking.
