I have seen her usually in Gamboa where the Canal Authorithy has a berth with a lot of Equipment for maintainance of the Canal.

That will be the TITAN. She was built in Germany in WWII, and I have never seen information on her identity there, but I have reason to believe the Germans also called her TITAN. She was picked up as War reparations by the U. S. Navy, and was sent to the Long Beach Naval Shipard for reassembly after the trip. There's quite a story on that. She served the U. S. Navy for several decades with the designation YD 171, and at first was nicknamed TITAN, but became known as HERMAN THE GERMAN When the shipyard closed she was donated to the Panama Canal Commission, who gave her the name TITAN.
