Description:

Blue Funnel's Mentor aground at the Garvel Bend. The steering linkage broke on her way up the river. Fortunately, she was in ballast and was floated off at the next tide with minimal damage. Slide given to my father, James Barron, 2nd mate on the Mentor in 1954 and later Clyde Pilot.
