The 1954 Hebburn built tanker NEMEO is seen passing Portishead, outbound from Avonmouth exactly fifty years ago today, on 10th October 1971.
Built as BORDER FUSILIER, she was purchased in 1970 by Halkidon Shipping Corp. (Spyros Vlachakis, represented in London by Southern Shipping & Finance Co. Ltd.).
NEMEO finally arrived at Gadani Beach on 12 July 1975 for scrapping.
