Description:

Sarsia is slowly disappearing in East Float where she sank at her layup berth in 1998. It's unclear why she sank but it suspected that her seacock had been removed.
Built 1953 by Philip & Son, Dartmouth as a survey vessel for the Marine Biological Association.

The Birkenhead Hydraulic Tower can clearly be seen in the picture. This structure was completed in 1863 to provide power for the lock gates and bridges of the surrounding docks. It is now a Grade II listed building.
