Description:

US-flagged chemical/sulphur tanker LOUISIANA SULPHUR is here photographed at Tampa in february 1986.
She was built 1943 at Chester, Pa. as T-2 tanker PALO ALTO. From 1948 she sailed as LOUISIANA SUN, belonging to Sun Oil Co. In 1961 she was sold, renamed LOUISIANA SULPHUR, and rebuilt to sulphur-carrier at her building-yard in Chester.
Since 1988 she has been used as a barge under various names, until 2008 when she was broken up in the US.
