Description:

Former German rescue vessel, now apparently a pilot boat in Astoria/Oregon US . Does anybody know how it got there ?! Picture taken on a stormy winter day Jan. 10th 2007.

According to the german Wikipedia, in addition to the three 26m-class boats of the DGzRS two more were built along the same plans that were not intended for german waters - the "Bruno Gregoretti" for Italy, and above Peacock that was always a Pilot.

She looks like a former resque vessel, comparing with "Georg Breusing" and "Sigurvin"

Sorry but this no former German rescue vessel.
This boat was build in 1963 for the Bar Pilots.
It´s 26.6m long. Speed 20kn.
