Description:

Forebody of STENA BRITANNICA berthed in floating dock of Lloydwerft Bremerhaven. The lengthening operations are stopped due to heavy wind forces (Beaufort 6-7 up to 8 or more).

When this conversion is finished STENA HOLLANDIA will receive a 50 metres new midbody which was launched yesterday at our yard SSW Schichau Seebeck Shipyard in Bremerhaven.

I put these photos in the category “Ships in drydock” as this is a conversion carried out in a floating dock.

Hi Ken,

of course it is. Unfortunately the wind was so strong this weekend that they couldn't finish the operation. The new midbody always drifted against the floating dock. The tugs couldn't hold it.

Regards,
Holger
