The photo was taken in July 1998 in the Faaborg Fjord (South-Fyn/DK) from the small island Bjørnø.

GELTING SYD travelled on the route from Faaborg to Gelting (D) from 1982 until the end of the duty-free-sales in the EU on 01/06/1999. Then this successful route has been closed.

She was built in 1974 at the Meyer-Werft in Papenburg/Germany. She travelled between Copenhagen and West-Sweden. 1981 was sold to Nordisk Færgefart, Faaborg. Now she sails as ATLAS between South Europe and North-Africa.
