Northern Ireland once had a proud fleet of colliers ,but coal is now imported in containers. One fine coal ship was the "Ballygrainey" which was owned by Catherwoods (If memory serves),seen here in 1987

When you refer to Catherwoods, your almost right, you mean Cawoods, their last ship was the Pinewood. Most of the coal comes to Belfast now in 20,000 bulkers.

Of course you are right on both counts. Seems the passing years are taking their toll on the old memory. It was a lovely ship though.
