Thanks Kent, but it's 21x optical. 12x is the standard maximum zoom at full 10 mp. Not sure how it works exactly, but there's an extended zoom function (not digital zoom) which increases zoom but reduces the megapixel range of the camera. All I can say is that I'm very impressed!
