That is the North Dock in Sunderland. She was laid up there for ages after coming straight from her builders.

There is a name-shield near the bridge.
While enlarging with Paint Shop the combination 'EPAN' can be recognized. So BUNGA SEPANG.

The vessel in your pic is of one of the two 29957 dwt chemical tankers built in 1975 for MISC by Mitsubishi. They were named Bunga Selasih and Bunga Sepang. Among the commodities they carried was liquid latex for the manufacture of rubber, which, I think, was what brought them to Europe. I never saw the Selasih but Bunga Sepang was a regular here on the Thames in the mid-1970s. I have a photo of it dated 1976, so I'd put my money on it being that one in your picture

This is a photo of Bunga Sepang - also from 1975. http://www.shipspotting.com/modules/myalbum/photo.php?lid=18535&cid=8

I think BobS is right - she is either Bunga Sepang or Bunga Selasih.

The unknown vessel is - here and there - painted a bit differently than Bunga Sepang - so she could perhaps also be Bunga Selasih. However, difficult to say as we don`t know when in 1975 the two pictures were taken.

Best regards
Jesper

The name of the owner is MISC Malaysia International Shipping Corp. Berhad. The leading Malaysian shipping line.

Sometimes the ships of this company - and I also think this one - has BUNGA as the first part of their names.

Sorry that I don`t know the full name of the ship.

Best regards
Jesper.
