Description:

Sunken vessel in the Panama canal in the 1960's
ex-AARDYK-62, ex LINCOLN VICTORY-47 during passing the "Hongkong Exporter" struck bank of Panama Canal while southbound on a voyage to Far East with rice and cotton. Flooded and settled on bottom in Gaillard Cut near Pedro Miguel Locks on 06.12.1970.
29.10.1972 finally refloated, towed to Balboa and scuttled south of Balboa on 01.11.1972, in position 07°44' N, 79°21'W.

Dopn't know which one it was but this looks like one of the Victory ships with which C Y Tung started Orient Overseas Line, which rew into the giant Orient Overseas Container Line.
