Hi..I was a crew member on the English River when she was a package freighter from 1969-1972,we sailed from Montreal,Port Credit,Hamiton back to Montreal,sometime in summer going up the Lakes,it was during a labour strike in Sault Ste Marie we ended our days both crew and ship,she never sailed as a package freighter again but was converted to a cement carrier and I ended my days as a Great Lakes seaman the day we left her there on Sept.11th,1972.So many great memories of that ship.Cant seem to find any pics of her as a package freighter.My name is Tom Penney from St.Johns,N L.

Hi. I really liked this photo. However, it would help if you entered the ship name in the title field as this would enable people to find a particular ship should they use the search function of this site.
