The Prince George, a 32-year-old vessel that sailed the Inside Passage from Vancouver to Alaska for the Canadian National Railroad from 1948 to 1974, is being returned to service. A new company, Canadian Cruise Line, is spending $4 million to refit the 285-passenger ship and bring her up to luxury standards. On the cruise itinerary will be Ketchikan, the Wrangell Narrows, Tracy Arm, Juneau, Glacier Bay, Prince Rupert and Knight Inlet. Departures will be every Monday, starting May 11, from Vancouver. Rates range from $748 to $978 a person in double occupancy.
