I worked on this vessel during construction in Gdynia (1977) shipyard as a student.
As I remember vessel was very well build.
Americans were stringent quality executors.
24 years has passed and Northern Arrow is still in service.
Amazing!
Best regards,

Hi, I'm new at this.
My father, Antonio Casas de Diego, worked as a radio operator in the early 80's on this ship and his twin brother "northern eagle."
She told me stories of attacks and approaches during the iran-iraq war.
He liked and admired the work of that vessel.
thanks friends

Time flies!
I visited her twice when she was moored in the Gulf of Suez and near Foz sur Mer back in 1981.
Nice ship then.
One specific feature that I remember of this vessel was that all cargo related piping was located in a rack and so formed a square bundle. That gave lots of space on deck, but I wondered what to do when one had to repair a leaking flange in the middle of the bundle. But that is history now.
(They had to top-up our tanks on board Antilla Cape, cap.29500 m3, in STS transfer)

Hi.
This ship was later bought by Bergesen in 1983 and renamed Berge Arrow. I was working onboard in 2001.
Berge Arrow was scrapped in may this year.
