Nice to see my old ship again,I sailed on her as the package freighter before she was converted to a cement carrier,I was an o/s on her from 1969-1972.We left her in Sault Ste Marie during a labor disbute with the dock workers in Sept 1972.The English River never sailed as a package freighter again,so many memories of this ship,some shipmates on her have passed away.Is there anyone left of my old shipmates to verify some or of or add to this.Tom Penney,St.Johns.N L.
